after the wildfires: restoring the image of tourism in wine country

Wine Country
there’s no getting around it: the October wildfires absolutely decimated far too many businesses and individuals in our happy wine country. we’ll be healing as a community for years to come, and the fires were covered across the nation in all their destructive glory. now, even as we’re picking up the pieces, we’re seeing more companies go under because they relied on event booking and large parties that they’re no longer able to accommodate. it’s heartbreaking.

how do we rise from the ashes?

our first steps are, of course, to acknowledge the damage and figure out our plan of action moving forward. once that piece of the puzzle is in place, we can start thinking about bringing back the idyllic image of our beloved wine country, a place where tourism thrives and people from all over the world come to visit.

let’s start at the local level. it’s more important than ever before to focus on how supporting local businesses means supporting and strengthening this community. it can be hard to be seen in the best of times, but now with more restaurants, breweries, and wineries struggling with their fire losses, it can feel almost impossible to focus on anything outside of getting past the day-to-day.

it’s okay to ask for help, and it may even be what’s best for your business. a pr firm can help you get back into the public eye and remind them why they loved you in the first place, or remind them that supporting you means putting lifeblood back into our community. it gets the word out and makes sure you’re seen by the right people while you focus on nurturing your business back to its former glory — or new levels of glory, as the case may be.

on the national level, it’s easier to forget how devastating a natural disaster is when you’re not faced with it every day. even so, in the wake of these horrible fires and the 24/7 news cycle that followed them, it’s left many people outside our area with a bruised-and-burned impression of Sonoma and Napa Counties. it’s more important than ever before to remind them of all the joys wine country has to offer, from our beautiful scenery to our world-class food and wine scene.

by connecting with people’s compassion and joy, we can help bring tourism back to the place we all love so much. we’re here to help you share your message and remind the world just how wonderful wine country is, and how incredible your business is for rising above.
